Hi I’m Kat, certified Holistic Health Coach , Breathwork Facilitator, and founder of Nourished Roots Health!

I founded NRH after years of struggling to find solutions to my digestive problems and burnout. My goal is to help you skip the trial and error and take back control of your life and health!

As a scientist and wellness alchemist, my offerings incorporate a unique blend of diet & nutritional theory, embodiment & somatic practices, mindset work, and spirituality, reflecting my own process of healing and connecting mind, body, and soul for true wellbeing.


My

Story

I’d always been fascinated by health and wellness, but when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition at the age of 16, my passion for nutrition and holistic health really lit up. Unfortunately, as I looked around for resources on how to nourish my body, I fell straight into the fad-diet trap!

Like many young women, I struggled with body dysmorphia and orthorexia throughout my teens and early 20’s. Chronic digestive issues, stress, and mood swings were an everyday experience in spite of my seemingly “healthy” diet, and by my mid-twenties I finally reached breaking point.

“By 24, I was literally afraid to eat because of how awful I would feel afterwards.”

Every day was spent worrying about how bloated I would feel after eating a salad, or whether broccoli would make me double-up in pain. It wasn’t until I discovered Ayurveda (an ancient health system originating in India) that things began to change. Ayurveda was my first introduction into eating for true health.

I founded Nourished Roots Health to inspire us all to remember the innate wisdom we hold within. To share powerful modalities like Ayurveda, breathwork, and astrology with the world.

“My mission is to inspire and empower you to take back control of your life and choose radical wellness - decide for yourself what ‘healthy’ truly means for you!”

I am here as a guide, supporter, mentor, space-holder and accountability partner for you on your unique health journey. Discover greater alignment, joy, vitality, and confidence as you learn to reconnect with your body’s intuitive wisdom - I can’t wait to connect with you!

My Approach

As a holistic practitioner specializing in gut and nervous system health, I take a multi-modal approach to health incorporating both the science and spirituality of wellness. Using an integrative, whole-person approach, we’ll work together to identify root-cause imbalances keeping you stuck and feeling crappy, and create a personalized wellness plan to bring wellbeing back into all aspects of your life.

As the only unconscious and conscious function in our body, understanding and working with the breath is foundational to our health and well-being. By learning to consciously connect to your breath, you’ll shift unconscious beliefs and patterns, revitalize your cells and organs, promote detoxification, experience healthy digestion, reduce stress, and support yourself in making positive, confident decisions.
